VMK25 ANC Headphones

Product description

A new and improved noise-cancelling headphone was born from the VMK20.

Can you improve headphones that are already brilliant? The VMK20 wireless noise-cancelling headphones have been a hit – tens of thousands sold and praised by both the media and customers. But as always, progress progresses and there's always something new to learn, even the best noise-cancelling headphones can evolve. That's why we created a new, even better model based on them: the VMK25 noise-cancelling headphones.

Modern Finnish design – without the flashy lights

Finnish Ratamo Design revamped the look – more modern, yet still unmistakably Valco. We aimed for a modern appearance while keeping the "family resemblance," so there's no need to suspect the VMK25 noise-cancelling headphones of being the postman's son.

Since we believe wireless headphones don't need to glow in the dark or flash like a disco ball, both function LEDs are tucked inside the ear cups. This way, you can be sure you won't be spotted lurking in the bushes with these on.

Swappable covers for extra personality

A fun detail of the VMK25 model is the magnetically attached color covers, which you can easily swap, wash, and customize for your own amusement (or to annoy others). You can check them out more closely here.

Revamped elements and better sound quality

The previous noise-cancelling headphones were already tuned to perfection, and no amount of tweaking could make them better. That's why these have new composite drivers, allowing for even better sound quality than before. The Bluetooth technology is, of course, Qualcomm quality.

Improved noise-cancelling and transparency mode

The noise-cancelling feature is now on a whole new level. A completely new noise-cancelling circuit, combined with thick memory foam cushions, blocks out noise so effectively that you can listen to silence. And by popular demand, we've included transparency mode—even though we think it's a bit silly. But you wanted it, so we made it.

Award-Winner – Don't take our word for it, trust the reviews

And if you don't believe us, believe the tests. The VMK25 has also received praise from unbiased reviewers – check out this review for example. We also have a huge amount of customer feedback from buyers right here on our site.

The best noise-cancelling headphones you can afford!

Finnish design - Our familiar designer Lauri Lumme has improved the design so that the VMK25 catches less wind and works better for all kinds of exercise. We believe headphones don’t need to glow in the dark or blink, so we put both indicator LEDs on the inside of the earcups. That way you can trust nobody will notice you when you’re sneaking around with VMK25s on your head. We also made the side panels replaceable, which makes them much easier to keep clean, customize yourself, and swap around to match whatever social media trend is currently poisoning civilization. If you have a 3D printer, you can download the models for printing your own shells here for free.

Ergonomics and quality - The repositioned headband size adjustment gives you a wider adjustment range than before (making life easier for the especially big-headed and small-headed among us). The structure is sturdier and better built all around, and finished with a lovely soft-touch coating. The overall fit is more secure, the surface materials look a bit more convincingly luxurious, the earcups are slightly roomier, and the frame is even more durable.

Even better sound quality - The VMK20 already earned plenty of praise among the golden-eared crowd. The new headphone drivers, which are also bigger and better, make top-notch sound possible. Our audio guru Jasse "Jazmanaut" Kesti could barely believe his ears when he got to tune these. The sound profile is the same familiar studio-neutral one, polished and fine-tuned by our sound nerd Jasse “Jazmanaut” Kesti. Music sounds the way it was painstakingly mixed and mastered to sound in the studio. The title of “audio wanker” has absolutely been earned!

Excellent ANC - A completely new ANC chipset cuts background noise even better than before. The ANC now also has the passthrough feature that we think is dumb, but customers asked for. So with the push of a button, the headphones use the ANC microphones to let environmental sounds through. So is that anti-ANC then? It’s actually pretty handy, because you can hear announcements and, say, eavesdrop on the people next to you while they think you’re sitting there blasting Sebuldura at full volume. Ha-ha!

PS. By the way, if you want, you can also get really handsome handmade wooden shells for these here.

What the hell is a noise-cancelling headphone?

In the video below, Jasse "Jazmanaut" Kesti spells out what the hell people actually mean when they talk about ANC.

Note: The video tests the VMK25 headphones, which have slightly better ANC than the VMK20 model.

Great products without the extra baggage*

Did you know that almost all headphone electronics come from a handful of giants?

Everything else is just smoke, mirrors, and sales pitch bullshit.

A small manufacturer like Valco can use the same top-tier components as the famous megacorporations use in their more expensive models.

We just don’t have a thousand employees to feed, a skyscraper in Manhattan, or a CEO with a private jet. Yet.

That’s how we can offer you the best bang for your buck on the market.

And what happens after you buy? Our customer service and Valco’s own repair service make sure our products last. And if you want a change, you can trade your old Valcos in with us. Try that somewhere else.

In the end, though, what really matters is why we do this. We sell headphones to make money for our own Death Star, with which we will achieve dominion over the galaxy.

Headphone FAQ

You’ll find more answers to various questions here.

Do these have a built-in microphone?

Yep. All VMK series headphones have a built-in hands-free microphone, so you can take calls and sit through boring Teams meetings.

Are these suitable for gaming?

If you play single-player games, then sure, why not. But Bluetooth still isn’t very good for wireless gaming headphones. If you want to use VMK headphones for gaming, it’s worth buying the wired microphone thingy. Then you’ll also get excellent noise-cancelling headphones for gaming use.

How do Valco headphones differ from the competition?

Our headphones offer excellent sound quality, long battery life, and they're comfy as a down pillow. And best of all, they're designed in Finland. By buying Valco headphones, you can rest assured your money will mostly go to the Finnish taxman and the retail oligopoly.

Where our headphones don't really differ from the others, apart from being exceptionally good value for money, our customer service is something you won't get elsewhere. I mean, can you send other brands' headphones in for service after the warranty runs out?

Of course, the biggest difference between us and the others is that we're actual people. The money given to us honestly goes toward beer, child support payments, big gold watches, and sports cars. Or well, the little bit that's left after the Finnish taxman sinks his claws into it.

Unlike our competitors, such as [A big Japanese or Korean conglomerate], [The world's biggest American corporation], and [A big German microphone factory], you can reach the people behind Valco anytime and even go grab a beer with us.

Try that with [Megakorporaation].

Do Valco headphones come with a warranty?

Of course! We believe in our products so much that we give them a two-year so-called full warranty, which is more comprehensive than what others offer. If the fault is clearly ours, we’ll still help with headphone issues even after the warranty period is over. And you don’t need to worry when the warranty runs out either. Unlike other headphone manufacturers, we have our own service department. If you run into problems, we’re here to help. But don’t worry, Valco headphones are as reliable as Finnish sisu!

What’s the difference between the VMK20 and VMK25 models besides the price?

Both headphones come with top-notch Bluetooth connectivity and sound quality that’ll make you dance. The VMK25 is slightly better of the two. Its build is sturdier, the materials are pricier, and it comes with a new kind of ANC plus new drivers. Still, both headphones are absolutely worth the money.
