Product Description
Valco Nordell Micro is a small but feisty Bluetooth speaker that goes wherever you do – to the beach, the sauna, or those hopeless barbecue parties where the only audio source is your friend’s sad phone speaker.
We think the Nordell Micro is at its best hanging from a belt loop next to a proudly exposed plumber’s crack, blasting a hockey game or a football match while you’re elbow-deep in a drain, trying to unclog last night’s kebab dinner, and need your other hand for a beer.
According to the American measurement system, this speaker is the size of a bar of soap and weighs about as much as an apple – for everyone else, that’s 200 grams and about 10 cm x 8 cm x 4.5 cm. But don’t let its size fool you; this little devil plays so well that many larger and more expensive speakers are left in its dust. And just like a real bar of soap, you probably shouldn’t drop it on a prison shower floor. Fortunately, the rubber backing keeps it from sliding around – whether in the shower or on the dashboard of your truck.
Like its big brother, the Nordell Micro fears neither water, sweat, nor the occasional splash of urine – thanks to its IPX6 rating. This makes it the perfect companion for the cabin, the construction site, or festivals where hygiene is, at best, questionable.
Bluetooth works as far as the signal reaches – about 10 meters – but let’s be honest, you wouldn’t want to leave your drinks unattended any further than that. Fully charged, the Nordell Micro plays for 3–6 hours, depending on the volume, temperature, and planetary alignment. If it had a bigger battery, it would be a bigger speaker – and then it wouldn’t be a small speaker.
This speaker is a product of Chinese engineering, and we don’t try to hide that. Without the groundwork done by the Chinese, we couldn’t sell this at a price that even you could afford. But Nordell Micro is no “cheap Chinese product.” Its sound and tuning have been crafted by our own dictator of audio, Jasse “Jazmanaut” Kesti, who we believe is the best sound technician in Finland – if not the world.
