These terms apply to all products bought from Valco’s online store.
You have the right to return your product within 14 days without giving a reason. This explains how returns and refunds work.
1. 14-day right of cancellation
You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days without giving a reason. This right is based on consumer protection law. The period starts when you have received the shipment. Because letter mail cannot be tracked, it is considered received within three days of dispatch. If the shipment has not arrived for some reason, contact customer service.
2. How to make a return
Contact customer service at info@valco.fi before returning the product, and send a free-form notice of cancellation. You will receive the return address and more detailed instructions along with the cancellation notice. Valco covers the direct costs of the return (free return) when you return the product according to our instructions from Finland or another EU country.
3. Condition of the product when returned
You may inspect the product the same way you would in a store, meaning you can open the package, try it out, and check it. Your right of cancellation remains valid even if you have tried the product. Return the product, if possible, in its original packaging and with all parts included. If the product’s value has decreased because of handling that goes beyond what is necessary to establish its characteristics and functionality, we may deduct an amount corresponding to the loss in value from the refund.
4. Refund
We process the refund after we have received and inspected the return. Our goal is to handle it within 1–3 business days. The money will show up in your account no later than 14 days after the return. The refund also includes the shipping costs you paid for standard delivery. The refund is paid to the bank account you provide.
5. Defective products and warranty
If the product is defective, contact customer service. Defective products will be repaired or replaced within the product’s individual warranty period. Repairability is a matter of principle for us, so we do not throw a salvageable product in the trash. We are also responsible for product defects under statutory liability for defects regardless of any separate warranty.
6. Transport damage
If the product was damaged during transport, contact us directly at info@valco.fi as soon as possible. We’ll sort it out, you do not need to deal with Posti.
7. Disputes
If the matter cannot be resolved with us, you can refer it to the Consumer Disputes Board for consideration (kuluttajariita.fi). You can also get free advice from Consumer Advisory Services (kkv.fi/kuluttajaneuvonta).
