Small but punchy Bluetooth speaker
Valco Nordell Micro is a small but punchy bluetooth speaker that goes anywhere with you, to the beach, the sauna, or those desperate barbecue parties where the only sound system is your mate’s sad little phone beep.
A speaker that isn’t afraid of ass crack or drains
We think Nordell Micro is at its best hanging from a belt loop next to a flashing ass crack, playing a hockey game or football match while you’re elbow-deep in a drain unclogging the blockage caused by yesterday’s kebab meal and need your other hand for a beer can.
Soap-bar sized, but with big-speaker sound
In the American system of measurement, this speaker is about the size of a bar of soap and weighs roughly as much as an apple. For the rest of us: 200 grams and about 10 × 8 × 4.5 centimetres. But don’t let the size fool you. This little bluetooth speaker plays so big that plenty of larger and more expensive ones are left speechless. And like an actual bar of soap, you probably shouldn’t drop this one on a prison shower floor either. It does have a rubberized back to stop it sliding around, whether that’s on bathroom tiles or a truck dashboard.
IPX6 protection, ready for whatever life throws at it
Just like its big brother, Nordell Micro doesn’t flinch at water, sweat, or even the occasional stream of piss, thanks to its IPX6 protection. That makes it the perfect speaker for the cabin, the worksite, or festivals where hygiene is more theory than practice.
Bluetooth works, as long as you stay near the beers
Bluetooth works within about a ten to fifteen metre radius and honestly, why would you want your drink or your phone any farther away than that. Fully charged, this small portable speaker keeps blasting for 3 to 6 hours, depending on volume, climate, and planetary alignment. If it could fit a bigger battery, it wouldn’t be this small anymore, and then it wouldn’t be this.
Sound from Finland, body from China, the best of both
Truth be told, this is Chinese engineering, and we’re not hiding it. Without Chinese manufacturing, we couldn’t sell this at a price you could actually afford. But the sound, tuning, and soul were made in Finland. More specifically at Valco, and even more specifically by Jasse “Jazmanaut” Kesti, who we think is Finland’s, if not the world’s, best sound nazi.
For adventure, the sofa, or the shower, always with you
Valco Nordell Micro is the perfect choice for anyone who values good sound but doesn’t want to lug around pointless extra crap. This little bastard slips into your pocket or bag, or hangs from your belt, your neck, or why not your ear hole while you’re out on your adventures. Or just at home, if your adventures are more theoretical.
See how this little devil works
Don’t believe it until you hear it? Watch the intro video on YouTube. Nordell Micro plays cleaner and better than anything else at this price point, at least if you ask us. If you need something bigger and meaner, check out the “big brother” Nordell MK3, that’s one hell of a bluetooth speaker.
