Products in the VALCO online store are sold by Finnish company Valco Oy (business ID 2919697-5, VAT number FI29196975). We sell and ship products (almost) everywhere in the world.

Prices for Valco's own products generally include taxes and shipping. Third-party products (if we ever happen to carry any) may incur a separate shipping fee, added at checkout.

Prices do not include any customs duties, import fees or other surprise charges unknown to us that exist in poor and greedy developing countries like Switzerland, Trump's America or Norway. It's the customer's job to wriggle their package through the whims of the customs officers.

Ordering

Products are ordered from the website www.valco.fi or via the company's other channels. The technical side of the service is provided by Canadian outfit Shopify. Valco Oy is not responsible for errors caused by the storefront platform.

Orders are confirmed by email, which includes the order details such as price, products and shipping. To receive the confirmation, you need to provide a working email address when placing the order.

Payment methods

Accepted payment methods include at least the common credit cards, PayPal, MobilePay (via Paytrail), Finnish online banks, invoice, instalments (Klarna), and probably something else we forgot.

We try to accept any and all legal payment methods, except Venezuelan bolivars. We don't trust their money. If you live somewhere other than Finland and your favourite payment method isn't on the list, get in touch with our customer service and we'll see if we can add, say, squirrel pelts, payment in kind, or some other method used out there in the wider world.

Shipping method and shipping costs

We couldn't be bothered to calculate shipping for every country on the planet, so postage is generally on us, unless stated otherwise on a specific product.

We send shipments as either a parcel or a letter, depending on the size of the order and product. Note that you can't track a letter with a tracking number.

Products are shipped by the best available option per country: UPS, DHL, or trained pigeons. Except in Bolivia, where we have an arrangement with Pablo, who delivers our packages alongside his faithful donkey Mañana (pictured).

We aim to ship every order within two days of purchase. We don't know exactly how long it takes to deliver a package to your cabin on Mururoa atoll. If delivery has taken more than three weeks, get in touch.

Exchange and return instructions

If you want to exchange, return or send a product in for repair, contact Valco customer service. You have the right to return your product free of charge within 14 days. The return right applies only to unused, resaleable products in their original packaging.

Warranty service instructions

You can send your headphones in for warranty service via Matkahuolto, free of charge.

  1. Get in touch with our customer service via the contact page above or drop an email to info@valco.fi. Describe the problem to our minions in as much detail as you can.
  2. Our minions will send you a return label or other shipping instructions, depending on where you live.
  3. Pack the product carefully. Print out the service form you got by email and put it in the box. If you can't print, just write the same info on a piece of paper by hand. Put the paper inside the package.
