Valco brings the circular economy to headphones

Used VMK20 and VMK25 models can now be traded in for new headphones

Here at Valco, we've launched a trade-in program that might be the first of its kind in the world. We didn't have the energy to google it and confirm.

You can swap your old headphones for new ones and get credit: 40 euros for a VMK20, 60 euros for a VMK25. Or the equivalent sum in developing-country knock-offs, if that's your thing.

We've been selling used Valcos for several years now, possibly as the only headphone manufacturer in the world doing it. The trade-in program is a natural extension of that. You get a discount on new headphones, the old ones don't end up as e-waste, and we get serviced headphones back on sale with a warranty. The Death Star gets built a little faster.

Valco has its own repair shop in Kajaani, where headphones get fixed up even after the warranty has expired. This too might be a global exception. As long as Hannes can hold a soldering iron, your headphones won't end up in the landfill.

How it works

We've made the trade-in process easy and painless.

1. Contact customer service

Get in touch with our customer service and let us know you'd like to send your old headphones in for a trade.

2. Receive instructions

We'll send you instructions on how to pack and ship the headphones to us.

3. Get your credit

Once we've received your headphones, we'll email you a credit code to use towards new ones.

This isn't just a good option for consumers, it actively promotes the circular economy and sustainable development. It also helps Valco's business. Returning used headphones means we can resell them, which cuts down on e-waste.

Don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity. Trade in your old headphones now and enjoy the sound quality of the latest tech, while actively doing your part for the environment.
